Motherhood Out Loud: Cast Bios

Leslie Waalk:  Leslie is a veteran of Thibodaux Playhouse. She has performed in many productions including Curious Savage (2010), Lend Me A Tenor (2011), God of Carnage (2013), and Boeing, Boding (2014). Leslie made her directorial debute with The Dixie Swim Club (2015), which was voted best production that season. She is excited to be performing once again and dedicates this performance to her late mother Ruthie Hassell.

Yvette Bilello:  Yvette is no stranger to the TPI family. Her TPI credits include Enchanted April, Crimes of the Heart, Deathtrap, and Oliver! Other local credits include Wash, Dry, Fold and The Pursuit of Happiness at Le Petit Theatre de Terrebonne, and “A Night at the Tonys” with Lorna and Company. Yvette is a Southern California native, but has called South Louisiana her home since 2006. Yvette is happy to be doing theatre again in Motherhood Out Loud. She thanks her wonderful husband Mark, and her two beautiful children Josh (13) and Sophia (12) for their love and support. She hopes you enjoy the show

Jessica Vicknair: You last saw Jessica on the TPI stage in Steel Magnolias (2018) as Annelle Dupuy, a role which won her Best Supporting Actress for the 2018-2019 Season. Jessica’s Thibodaux Playhouse credits include Boeing, Boeing (2014), Dixie Swim Club (2015), Always a Bridesmaid (2016), One Slight Hitch (2017), and Mama Won’t Fly (2018), which she has received actress nominations for her roles in each show. Jessica also served as the stage manager for Gladys in Wonderland and Leading Ladies. Jessica is a native of Thibodaux and a graduate of E. D. White Catholic High School and Nicholls State University. She is currently an 18-year Kindergarten teacher at Honduras Elementary in Terrebonne Parish and is a member of the E. D. White Alumni Board and Sustaining Member of Thibodaux Service League.

Leah LeBeouf:  Leah has been in several Thibodaux Playhouse productions through the years, most recently The Sunshine Boys (2021). She is a member of the Board of Directors and is hoping to help build additional performance art options through TPI. When Leah is not having a blast on the stage, she is working as a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Leah is grateful to have yet another opportunity to work with these amazing people.

Renée LeBlanc:  After a couple years’ hiatus, Renée is excited to be back with performing with Thibodaux Playhouse, Inc. She was last seen both on and off stage in 2018 directing Leader of the Pack and playing Karen in Gladys in Wonderland.

Derrick Toups:  Houma credits: Other Desert Cities, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. // Recent New Orleans credits: The Odd Couple, King Lear, In the Red and Brown Water, SILENCE! The Musical, Annie Baker’s The Flick. As a teaching artist, Derrick has directed Shakespeare for third graders, Swan Lake for three-year-olds, and musicals for middle schoolers. Love to mom and Kristen.
