2020. A year to never be forgotten. A year that has brought hardship to everyone, including Thibodaux Playhouse. What feels like an eternity ago, the world had to shut down due to the uprising of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and Thibodaux Playhouse was no exception. This affected artists and creatives across the world. An industry that thrives on its livelihood could no longer be “live.” We had no choice but to “go dark” and take a brief intermission.

Fast forward nearly a year, and we are just beginning to turn the lights on again. As it turns out, our “brief” intermission wasn’t so brief (they never are). But the theatre is resilient. The theatre always has and always will endure. Our intermission is finally coming to an end, and we are ready to come back better than ever. On behalf of the entire Thibodaux Playhouse Family, we are absolutely elated to welcome you back to our theatre. We want to assure you that we have taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing everyone in attendance at any Thibodaux Playhouse event.

Please review our theatre safety protocols below so that together, we can enjoy the return of live performances. We greatly appreciate your cooperation with our new rules to keep us all safe and healthy.

Thank you for your continued support of Thibodaux Playhouse, Inc. We have missed you!

All employees and volunteers will be wearing masks at all times, when inside any Thibodaux Playhouse building and during performances. Patrons must wear a mask or facial covering (over the nose and mouth) at all times. Please note: We do require that you keep your mask on not only when entering the building, but for the duration of the performance and when moving about the building to and from your seat.

Appropriate social distancing of six feet between each person must be maintained at all times, except members of the same household or those that attend performances together.  We will have physical distancing ground decals placed throughout the building for your guidance. If a line forms while waiting for the restrooms or the ticket booth, help us help you by maintaining a proper socially distanced atmosphere.

TPI will limit the number of seats in use and only designated and assigned seats will be utilized. We will be adhering to the modified Phase 2 Guidelines to limit seating to approximately 25% of normal capacity. Appropriate physical distancing must be maintained at all times between patrons, except members of the same household or those that attend together. We will open the house earlier than usual to discourage loitering in the lobby and ask that everyone take their seats as soon as possible upon entering.

Ticket sales as always are available online or via phone. We strongly encourage advanced ticket sales to reduce the need to stand in line for tickets. Ticket lines will be modified for social distancing, with ground decals placed to remind patrons to keep 6 feet apart. Multiple sanitation stations are available at either Thibodaux Playhouse facility. Everyone will be encouraged to utilize the sanitizing stations. After every performance, all public spaces in the theatre will be disinfected and sanitized.

If you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or other symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, please stay home. We welcome you to join us again in the future. Please contact the box office to exchange your tickets for another performance.

The Coronavirus Self-Checker is an interactive clinical assessment tool that will assist individuals ages 13 and older, and parents and caregivers of children ages 2 to 12 on deciding when to seek testing or medical care if they suspect they or someone they know has contracted COVID-19 or has come into close contact with someone who has COVID-19.

The online, mobile-friendly tool asks a series of questions, and based on the user’s responses, provides recommended actions and resources.
