Home Sweet Home (We’re Back!)

After being unable to access our home theater for nearly 2 years, we are THRILLED to announce that we have finally been given the go-ahead to resume productions at our beloved Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center Theater!

Our first order of business is bringing back our TPI Junior summer workshop with a production of Newsies JR., directed by Rikki Broussard!

We are so excited to finally be able to bring the magic of theater back to our young performers! Parent registration and auditions for Newsies JR. will both take place on Saturday, April 9th from 10:00 am-5:00 pm at our Rehearsal Studio (902 Jackson St.). The summer camp will take place May 31-June 20 (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm) and performances will run from June 21-26.

In addition to welcoming back our TPI Junior program, we’re also hard at work planning our next MainStage production: Little Shop of Horrors, co-directed by Melinda Adams and Kyle Davis and stage-managed by Andrea Stentz!

Auditions will take place Saturday, April 2nd at our Rehearsal Studio (902 Jackson St.), and performances will run from July 22-31.

The last time we were able to perform for you in our home theater was in January of 2021 when we brought you You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, so we are beyond excited to welcome you back into our seats this summer! Thank you so much for all your support as we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, the purchase of a new rehearsal space, and Hurricane Ida. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you.

We are so looking forward to Expanding the Arts and Enhancing the Experience for you again. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on our upcoming projects.

See you soon!
