Now that we’re finally back in our theater and ready to start working on our first youth production since 2019, we’re so excited to introduce you to our TPI Junior Director, the incredibly talented Ms. Rikki Broussard!
What Makes Her Awesome:
Rikki holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music from Nicholls State University and has been a certified music teacher for 23 years and a dance instructor for over 25 years.
She started her teaching career in Lafourche Parish, where she spent 9 years teaching music at various schools throughout the Parish. She currently teaches performing arts at St. James High School, where she has directed, music directed, and choreographed numerous productions.
In addition to being an amazing educator in St. James Parish, she also owns and operates a performing arts studio in Vacherie (Ms. Rikki’s Center for the Performing Arts) where she teaches musical theatre and dance.
Why She Can’t Wait for Newsies, Jr. to Start:
“I’m so excited to be back in the area working with the talented kids and to be a part of the TPI family,” she said. “I can’t wait to see how creative we can get with the choreography. It’s gonna be a blast!”
We can’t wait to see how Rikki Expands the Arts & Enhances the Experience for our young performers!
