TPI Welcomes New Employee

Meet Mason Clark

This month, we welcomed Mason Clark as our new Managing Artistic Director.

Mason is a senior at Louisiana State University where he studies Theatre Performance. Before accepting his new role as Managing Artistic Director, Mason served on the Playhouse’s Executive Board of Directors as Corresponding Social Secretary.

He got his start with TPI at just 12 years old, where he played the role of “Horton the Elephant” in TPI, Jr.’s summer workshop production of Seussical, Jr. Since then, Mason has gone on to perform in and direct numerous plays and musicals at the Playhouse.

About the Position

The Managing Artistic Director, a new position at TPI, merges the duties of the former Executive Producer and Business Director into one position.

As the Managing Artistic Director, Mason will work with the directors and production teams of every TPI production to ensure that all costumes, props, and set pieces are secured and that each show is ready to open on its slated date.

He will also oversee ticket sales, season subscriptions, and memberships, ensuring that all ticketing software is updated with accurate performance dates, times, and venues.

These duties, among numerous other behind-the-scenes responsibilities, make the Managing Artistic Director an integral part of TPI’s success moving forward

Mason is already hard at work in his new position, and we can’t wait to see what big plans he has in the works to help Thibodaux Playhouse keep doing what we do best: Expanding the Arts and Enhancing the Experience.
