Meet the Cast: “All the Great Books (Abridged)”

Paul Cook (Coach): Paul is a recent graduate of Nicholls State University and a continuing victim of the jobless recession; so in essence, he truly is a starving actor. Nevertheless he returns to the Thibodaux Playhouse stage for another show. He was seen previously in “Don’t Drink the Water,” “Bless Me Father” and “Lucky Stiff.” He has acted in shows in Houma, Thibodaux and New Orleans since the mid 1990s and he most recently joined the board of the Thibodaux Playhouse. Paul graciously thanks Daniel and the boys for their ability to get along without him for the past two months so that he could get along to rehearsal. Enjoy the show.

Blake M. Petit (Drama Professor): Blake is a writer, educator and geek pundit from Ama, Louisiana. He has performed in dozens of plays in the Thibodaux area, including The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Rumors and, most recently, Annie; directed several shows; and is the writer of The 3-D Radio Show. Blake is an English teacher at Central Lafourche High School and a columnist, reviewer and editor for the pop culture website www.CXPulp.com, where his weekly 2 in 1 Showcase podcast appears every Sunday. Blake has published two novels and several pieces of short fiction. New work frequently appears on his website, www.EvertimeRealms.com, in both prose and his weekly audiobook podcast, the Evercast.

Damon Stentz (Student Teach): Damon is newly-elected vice president of the Thibodaux Playhouse.  “All the Great Books Abridged” makes his fifth performance with the Playhouse.  He is a local attorney married to Andrea Cheramie Stentz, and they have a son Dylan (7) and a daughter Addison (5).  Damon enjoyed this play mainly for the great workout it gave him each night at rehearsal!
